The residents enjoyed watching the school age children from Building Blocks Learning Center and Childcare play giant outdoor bowling this week! We are so blessed to have great opportunity for intergenerational activities on a daily basis!


It's been 8 weeks since the day we heard about our community crisis. We, at Lakeview, refused to let the doors close on such an amazing asset to our community. We answered the call and are over-the-moon to report that Building Blocks Learning Center and Child Care will officially be calling Lakeview their home as of June 1st.

Maplewood Residents would like to thank Don from Compassionate Care for his education on Hospice and the misconceptions it may carry. Lakeview would also like to extend a warm "Thanks!" to all those organizations willing to take the time to come on campus and educate our residents in a variety of important and interesting topics.

Part of the plans for upcoming renovations at Lakeview Methodist Health Care Center in Fairmont include redoing the first floor, to create a sort of community hub with retail sevices that will be open to residents and the public.

As a preview of things to come, the Center opened a gift shop this week.

The American Legion Auxiliary hosted a Veteran's Day Party today for the entire Campus. Many of our own veterans were able to attend so we could express our gratitude for their service!
