Hello everyone! This is Cheryl Kolve. I’m writing from my desk in Social Services and I’m BACK!!!! Ha-ha!

There have been so many changes since I was here back in the mid-90’s and then again in the early 2000’s.

Back in the 90’s I was here as the Rainbow Care Unit Coordinator and did activities and taught staff education for the staff in the memory care unit. In the early 2000’s, I was here as the director of Caring Partners Adult Day Services, the program that I started and had been housed at Grace Lutheran Church, prior to coming here.

Fast forward to present day and the Rainbow Care Unit and Caring Partners are no longer here.  The majority of today’s residents come to Lakeview for therapy, to recover and return to the community. The result is a revolving door effect with many admissions and discharges every month.

Lakeview has changed its focus to adjust to the new trend of short term rehabilitative stays.

I hope you are as excited as we are about the upcoming changes that are going to happen here at Lakeview! Please pick up a copy of the latest “Home with Lakeview” newspaper so you can join in the excitement of our new Capitol Improvement Project! It’s our vision (turned into reality) of what the future will bring to all of us and to the “baby boomer” generation!
